The Many Amenities of Willoughby Walk

Our 191-unit purpose built rental project, Willoughby Walk, is almost ready to open its doors to new tenants. Our register interest site is up, and we encourage those who are interested in renting to sign up and become pre-approved for leasing. They will have the first choice of unit size and location when applications are accepted in September.

The property will boast a slew of amenities, including a state-of-the-art 750 square foot gym with FOB access. “We didn’t skimp on the gym”, says property manager Daniel Greenhalgh. “We wanted it to be a cut above what you’d normally find in a strata or purpose-built rental building.”

Daniel was also instrumental in the decision to add air conditioning to the entire building. “I really thought it was important to add this feature to the property. It added a bit more time to the construction process, but when you’re hitting mid-30s every summer, that extra time and work will be well worth it for our tenants.”

The property will include an amenities room that will be reservable for children’s birthday parties, meetings or other events. This room will back on to an outdoor child-friendly play area. “It’s perfect for parties. You can cook hot dogs inside, and then walk out the sliding door to the play center. It’s designed to bring our tenants together into a common space. The kids can meet and play, and the parents can relax.”

These common areas will include free wifi, accessible to both residents and guests.

Every unit will include a large storage locker, big enough for about a room’s worth of storage. “We’re also including a bicycle lock up room in the parking garage, so your whole locker won’t be taken up with your bikes.”

Tenants will have access to one parking space and will have the option to purchase another. “We have about 370 spaces for 190 units – so enough for half of them to purchase an extra one. It’s another reason to register early so you get first dibs on the extra space.” Daniel has also included hook-ups for electric vehicles in the parking garage.

There’s another unusual amenity being considered by ENM - a dog-wash station. Daniel is currently looking into the logistics of adding one to the property. “I know the pain of washing a dog indoors, and how much easier it is to take care of business outside. We want to encourage pet ownership and we hope we can make this happen.”

Daniel has also negotiated with the city to add a bus stop right outside the property. “We had to pay a little extra for that. We wanted tenants to be able to walk outside and have access to mass transit right there.”

The property is centrally located in Willoughby and is within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops and department stores. “You really shouldn’t have to drive anywhere except to work.”

Daniel and ENM have gone the extra mile to make Willoughby Walk stand out, and future tenants will be very proud to call it home.
