ENM Construction Management has always been a competitive player in the construction and development market. In December 2016, the construction firm decided to redirect their focus to purpose-build rentals with the conception of the Willoughby Walk project.
The Willoughby Walk project is a 191 unit purpose-built rental building that is specifically designed for working professionals and families in Langley, British Columbia. The project is another opportunity for ENM Construction Management to showcase its team’s skills and challenge the rental market in Vancouver.
According to an interview with Dan Greenhalgh, co-founder of ENM Construction Management, “Willoughby Walk is different in that it is a high-quality product (condo finishes) in a flexible rental format. That is and will be the new model (for the lower mainland) of buildings being built for rental. We chose the location because of its proximity to restaurants, shops, and other amenities.” The team aims to give purpose-built rentals a new face that will redefine the previous and existing industry trends. The Willoughby Walk project delves away from the 80's concept of minimal amenity spaces and least inexpensive finishes. Instead, it closely follows trends that have been successful in Toronto for the past decade.
