RENTAL APPLICATIONS

ENM will begin accepting applications for rental contracts in July 2018. There is expected to be exceptionally high demand for the units. Daniel Greenhalgh, ENM’s co-founder, says he anticipates the units will be snapped up within 24 hours.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Our crane came down on April 16th, and landscaping will begin on the property in the next 1-2 weeks.

Building A currently has drywall on all walls, while rough-ins are currently going in on Building B for both plumbing and electrical. On Building C, the crew is working on the roof and the exterior.

MORE ABOUT THE PROJECT

Willoughby Walk is one of the first purpose-built rental properties to be constructed in Langley in over forty years. ENM Construction Management hopes that it will be the first of many such projects for the company. Founders Daniel Greenhalgh and Colin Lacey plan for ENM to be the premiere “one-stop shop” for purpose-built rental projects in the Lower Mainland.

“We want to specialize in purpose-built rentals and take them from development to construction. I don’t think any other company is doing that in the Lower Mainland,” Greenhalgh says. “We hope to help meet the huge need for high-quality rental properties. There’s a big demand, a tiny vacancy rate, and that makes rents much higher across the board. We hope that by focusing on purpose-built rentals, we can help make housing prices more affordable for all residents of the Lower Mainland.”

Willoughby Walk will be a professionally owned and operated, fully managed rental apartment building with a full time, on-site manager to handle the day-to-day details and maintenance. The property is designed with the working professional couple and family in mind. The six-story building is wood-frame construction with a two-story parkade and individual storage lockers. It is located in Willougby Town Centre on a transit commuter route and is less than a block from two elementary schools. 70% of the units are two bedroom and the rest are a mix of 1 and 3 bedroom layouts.
