ENM was proud to be involved in the annual “Go to Bat for BC Children’s Hospital” Slo-Pitch Tournament that was held in the late spring.
The signature fundraising event for the hospital is in its 27th year and has raised over $5 million to date. The money goes towards the hospital’s urgent needs for specialized equipment and research.
ENM donated $200 to the Aldergrove Credit Union’s “ACU A Team”. They were one of over 80 teams from different industries around the province to participate in the three-day tournament.
Our co-founder Daniel Greenhalgh believes that it’s part of ENM’s mission to search out ways to give back to the community. “It’s definitely part of our philosophy as a business to seek out these kinds of opportunities. We want to put our resources to use for the community, and there are few better ways to do that than through this Slo-Pitch Tournament for the Children’s Hospital. It’s a very popular annual event for lots of industries, and we were excited to be able to donate this year.”
Every day, more than 630 sick and injured kids are served by the BC Children’s Hospital. Many of their services are funded through the B.C Children’s Hospital Foundation, the fundraising arm of the hospital. Last year, the Foundation topped the $100 million mark in revenues for the first time in its history.
“We want to continue to be a part of the Foundation’s success every year,” says Daniel. “Whether it’s through this tournament or through other means, we’ll continue to support their work.”About ENM Construction
